This article will discuss about the vSphere Client for , vSphere Client is actually made for X system ever made by , but I make a few changes so that the vSphere Client can be in the “Porting” for systems.

vSphere Client uses Web Based so that we not only can use it as Desktop App course, but can we make it so that the vSphere Client can be accessed from anywhere as long as there certainly Browser.

On Linux systems because the vSphere Client requires the Adobe Flash Player 11.x and for the Firefox browser on Linux is not available, then we need Chrome Browser.

Preparation / System Requirements:
1. Java JRE 1.7.x (do not use Java JRE 1.8.x, because there will be a crash)
2. Tomcat Server 7.x (already included in the package “vSphere host-client.tar”)

1. Java JRE 1.7.x ( here )
2. vSphere Client @ ( here )

Save all downloads to one folder (eg create a folder: install-vSphere-hosted-client).

$cd install-vsphere-host-client

Install Java JRE

$sudo rpm -ivh jre-7u71-linux-x64.rpm

Extract vSphere-hosted-client.tar

$tar xvf vsphere-host-client.tar

Run the vSphere Client

$cd vsphere-host-client

vsphere-client- installvsphere-client- login
vsphere-client certificatevsphere-client getting stared
vsphere client summaryvsphere client monitor

Shutdown/Close vSphere Client

vSphere Client for Linux is not supported officially by VMWare.

$sudo mv jre1.7.0_79/ /usr/java/

Changing the directory owner:

$sudo chown -Rf .root /usr/java/
